Live Facial Recognition Operaion

Yesterday 15th August 2025 Live Facial Recognition came to Clarence Street, Kingston. Working alongside your local Police Officers this Operation recognised passers by who were of interest to the police for various reasons. Once they were identified officers would approach these individuals and make further enquires.

During the operation three arrests were made, these included:-

somebody who was wanted for Actual Bodily Harm along with being in possession of a knife

somebody who was wanted for failing to appear in court along with firearm offences

somebody who was wanted for failing to appear in court relating to common assault offences.

Thanks to Facial Recognition these individuals with now be dealt with accordingly.

Facial Recognition also allowed the Police Officers to interact with numerous High Harm Offenders and make sure that they were abiding with any conditions that have been imposed on them.
